Who we are
All About Korea (all-about-korea.com) is an independent site publishing English-language articles about Korean skincare, cosmetics, pharmacy shopping, and travel in Korea. It is operated from South Korea.

The short version
No ads. No analytics. No tracking pixels. No comments. No accounts. No newsletter. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to anyone who would want one.
The only information that reaches us automatically is what any web server records in order to send you a page. Everything else is what you choose to send us yourself.
What we collect
Automatically: server and network logs
Like every website, ours records technical details of each request: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the date and time. These logs are created by our hosting provider and by Cloudflare, the network service that sits in front of the site to deliver pages quickly and block abusive traffic.
We use these logs only to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and defend against attacks. We do not use them to identify you, to profile you, or to advertise to you.
If you write to us
Some pages invite you to get in touch — most notably our free pharmacy shopping card at /card, which has a feedback link, and our pharmacy partnership page at /yakguk. If you use those, or email us directly, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include.
We use that only to reply to you and to improve the thing you wrote to us about. We do not add you to a mailing list — we do not have one.
What we do not collect
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no equivalent tool on this site. We do not measure your visit.
- No advertising. There are no ad network scripts, no ad cookies, and no advertising identifiers.
- No social media trackers. No Facebook pixel, no share-button trackers, no embedded social widgets that report back.
- No comments. Commenting is closed across the site, so we hold no comment text, commenter names, or commenter email addresses.
- No accounts or newsletters. Readers cannot register, log in, or subscribe, so there is nothing to store.
- No payment information. Nothing on this site sells anything or accepts payment. Our pharmacy shopping card is free, and any purchase you make happens at the pharmacy counter — never through us.
Cookies
We do not set analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to follow you between sites.
- Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies (such as
__cf_bm) to tell human visitors from automated traffic and protect the site. These are security cookies, not tracking cookies. - WordPress sets cookies only for signed-in site administrators — that means us, not you. Reading the site as a visitor creates no WordPress login cookie.
Who else handles your data
A small number of service providers necessarily process data on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider — stores the site itself and its server logs.
- Cloudflare — delivers and protects the site, and therefore processes your request, including your IP address.
- Google Workspace — provides the mailbox behind our contact address, and therefore handles any message you send us.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising or marketing. We would disclose data only if legally required to do so.
Where your data goes
The site is operated from South Korea and delivered through a global content network, so your request may be handled by servers outside your own country. This is how the site reaches you quickly wherever you are.
How long we keep it
- Server and network logs — kept only for the limited period our hosting and network providers retain them for security and diagnostics, then discarded automatically.
- Email you send us — kept as long as it takes to deal with your message, and to keep a record of the conversation if the matter is ongoing. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California — you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used.
In practice these requests are simple here, because we hold very little: some short-lived technical logs, and any email you sent us. Write to [email protected] and we will answer. Readers in the EU or UK also have the right to complain to their national data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The strongest protection we can offer you, though, is structural: there is no reader database here to breach, because we never built one.
Changes to this policy
If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date at the top is updated. That includes anything material — if we ever add analytics, advertising, or a newsletter, this policy will say so, describing what is collected and by whom, before or at the time it starts.
