Then you open the train booking page.

Sold out. Sold out. Also sold out.

You refresh, as if the train might have grown another carriage while you were staring at it.

Before you cancel the whole plan, work through a few checks. Some searches need correcting. Some journeys have other options. And sometimes the sensible answer really is to change the day. It helps to find out which situation you’re in before your hotel’s cancellation deadline makes the decision for you.

Train to Busan sold out?

Start with the official KORAIL booking site. Confirm the date, departure station, destination, passenger count, and time range. If you began on a reseller, check directly too.

Widen the departure time before widening the entire trip. Would an evening arrival still work? Could you leave earlier? Look at the complete journey, including getting to the station and reaching your accommodation afterward.

If your group is happy to sit apart, check whether booking individual seats is possible. Keep everyone’s train number and date together on one screen before purchasing. A ticket for each person is only helpful if you’ve booked the journey you actually intend to take.

Give the alternative a fair comparison
